if the camera was off, i bet people would say radically different things about what they truly think.

As an Indian I feel very sad that almost everyone only knows us for curry even though curry is only a specific dish otherwise it's mostly gravy.

As an American living in India I can honestly say that I did not personally know anything about India before I came here!!! Now living here in India with my wife and 4 kids I realize how little I thought about broadening my perspective on other countries and cultures! We have been living here in India for a little while and we are learning new things every single day! We love it here in Bharat!!!

As an individual from the North East of India, I often encounter surprise from my Korean friends when they learn about my Indian identity. Some have even remarked that my appearance seems more Korean than Indian. In such instances, I find myself explaining our rich diversity, a facet of our culture that is not widely known, even among Westerners. It is my hope that one day the world will come to understand and appreciate the diversity within India. In the meantime, let's continue to promote love and peace to foster better global understanding.

East Asian media and Western media portray India very negatively. They will go to any crowded place in North India and post the video.They will opt for the cheapest food and stay, and then they will complain india is not a comfortable place to travel. So these people will think that whole india is like that.I wonder why foreigners want to visit ganges river when there are many beautiful and clean places in india like south india, northeast, himachal and ladak.Most of the people dont know anything about how diverse india is. All they know is curry, yoga and cast system. As an Indian from the South, India is not perfect, but life here is not dangerous and miserable as you people think.
Edit: My fellow Indians, please stop fighting in the comment section. These people don't know anything about India other than the usual stereotypes and they are not interested in knowing more about India. We cant blame them, we have failed to represent our country globally. Dont make racist remarks against Koreans. I apologise if those comments offended anyone.

To be honest, Koreans are not very interested in India except for those who do business. Curry and yoga are famous. Many people are not very interested in the good or the bad. The geographical distance is also a reason.

The word "CURRY" is not used by Indians for their dishes. It was a term coined by the British because they couldn't accurately pronounce the names of our dishes. I as an Indian don't like it when they just call our food curry ... Just like people know there is a dish called as sushi, kimchi, similarly we don't have curry but we have particular names for each curry (we call it either daal or sabzi depending on what it is). Also we don't only have curry but more than just curry in each part of the India.

What I hate about foreign tourists is they always find cheapest ways to stay and travel in India and than say India ain't good for travelling. You guys have got both luxurious and cheap way to travel India it just depends on your choice and preference.

@Rhileyn
FYI, there’s no thing such as curry in India. It’s a term that came from a place of HIGH IGNORANCE to single-handedly generalise all gravy based dishes from a vast array of Indian cuisines to a single term. It’s like me referring to Samgyeopsal, Soondae, Tteokbokki, etc. as Kimchi, or calling every single Japanese dish (Natto, Miso Soup, etc.) Sushi. Highly reductionist, please refrain from doing so in the future.

When they talk about Korean hate India, they say all Koreans are not like that, but India is a country with 1.4 billion people, so even the 1% population is a huge number. So just based on some news and YouTube they have prejudice about India. How it is justifiable.

In the case of Korean clubs, if problems with foreigners recur, they temporarily ban entry.
The reason why Indians and Pakistanis were banned was because they repeatedly sexually harassed women in the club by touching their bodies without their permission, and received strong protests for treating female customers like prostitutes. Since there had been frequent accidents caused by Indians and Pakistanis before, this incident made people angry and banned the entry of Indians and Pakistanis.
Likewise, another club where US soldiers ignored and sexually harassed Korean women temporarily banned US soldiers stationed in Korea.
Other clubs banned French people;
There were clubs where foreigners of various races had caused various problems, such as vandalism, non-payment of alcohol bills, threats to people around them, and fights, and there were some places where all foreigners were banned from entering.
In most cases, this is not a measure taken due to a single accident, but rather when a specific race repeatedly visits and causes problems.
其他俱乐部禁止了法国人进入;

The lady in the red scarf has a point. People in more racially homogenous countries will be less accustomed to seeing those who don't look like them and will innately carry a stronger in-group bias, which is what leads to these prejudicial attitudes.

Unfortunately, not only Koreans share such negative thoughts about India. The media portrays it negatively all around the world, mainly showing underprivileged areas, where streets are kept dirty and people do all that hard work to earn money. I think that the government should do better to provide all necessities to the citizens, but still, only in some big cities progress is seen.

As an Indian, I find it really sad that casteism is highlighted in media when it’s about India. In many schools, casteism is mainly what they teach about India. I’ve never encountered casteism in India (where I came from) before. Our culture is so much more than that…
