Showering at night is a bit like taking your shoes off when you go inside. Once you’re in a culture where it’s the default, you start to scratch your head and wonder “why they hell didn’t we always do this?”

But much prefer a warm shower in the morning other times of the year. (Warm showers wake me up, so I tend not to do it at night.)

Chinese here, night mostly and sometimes morning too, depends on how I feel or if I had a rough night's sleep and want to wakeup and feel refreshed.

Night time showers is deemed to wash away all the dirt and grime you may gave collected during the day and your clean for your bed.

I shower in the morning and occasionally at night. I also change my bedsheets and duvet cover every 7 days, and my pillowcase every second day.

Everyone talks about their bed being a sanctuary and somewhere so clean. How often then, are those sheets being cleaned?

I live in Guangdong, so I often shower in the morning, at night and sometimes in-between, two or three times a day out of necessity. It's too damn hot and I sweat a lot.

If people have jobs where they get dirty they will shower in the morning and evening but if you work in an office for example you won't be very dirty.

It's not that hot in the UK.

Also when I am in Shanghai I don't usually shower in the evening unless it's been unusually hot and I've had a particularly uncomfortable day.

Although I don't really have an issue with body odour or anything.
