I notice a lot of Asian males 30 to 40 look like they're early 20's still. Is it Asian genetics / what they eat? Or do a lot of asian males follow a basic skincare routine?

I've been watching a lot of Asian streamers lately in China / Korea and I noticed a lot of Males in the 30 to 40 ranges have really great skin and young faces, what do they do usually to take care of their skin? I see them eat a varity of food including mcdonalds and other things so I'm not so sure it's the food, are they following a skincare routine or is this just normal for asian genetics?

They look like they're in their 20s only to white people, other Asians can tell a young Asian vs older Asian with good skin cause we're used to the way Asians age.

LOL this! Us Asians can generally tell each other’s age ranges. There are just a couple exceptions that maybe look a LOT younger than their age, but even then it’s not that common. We can usually tell who are in their 20s, 30s or older, it’s just white people who seem to think we all look young. To us, white people don’t age well and look a lot older than we expect them to be

It swings the other way too, I always think white people are older than they are, even those who claim to look younger than their age. That's why I never bite those 'guess my age' questions cause I don't wanna be rude.

I avoid the "guess my age" as much as I can. when I cant I just do this.

If they look like they could be in their late 20s, early 30s. Say 24. If they look 30-40, just say 33.

40+ I just always say 42.

Legit it lowkey shocks me how white people age, I’m 30 and my white friends all look much older than me meanwhile white people still think I’m like 19.

This is true but it’s also that we learn to look for other markers as well (weight, hair style, clothes, etc) to tell someone’s age. If people don’t conform to those things in their age group it can be harder to tell even for other Asians

I have a friend who looks young to other asians. She's 29 but looks like in her early 20s to us. When we go to the US, people thinks she's in elementary school. She's not even short, 165 cm!

You can usually tell by looking at an Asian lady's neck/hands to determine age but it seems more difficult to apply this to men

Tbh I think a lot of white people are just shockingly bad at guessing ages... I don't know if I'm just super harsh, or if everyone else is just super generous. I'm a white person raised in a very white environment and even I can tell when an east asian person is obviously old with good skin. I see it all the time online but I'm always thinking 'that guys definitely looks 45... just a 45 year old with a good skincare routine...'

Lol same with black people. People will fawn over how young someone looks and I usually can guess their true age. Alot of white people say I look young but I honestly look my age when you factor in black genes and how we tend to look youthful.

Interesting. So there must be some bias going on. We're used to people who look like us aging at a certain pace so we apply that to others, and it's always surprising when the expectations don't match.

I would say for celebrities, it’s cosmetic surgeries that accentuate that look.
