This is the city where I grew up, I really appreciate you to present the picture what China is really like. After the pandemic, life is back on and so many people are enjoying their busy and casual life. I am in the US, and I definitely can smell the delicious street food in my head!

During this pandemic time, (3.7 million cases as of 7/18/20) my relatives, friends, my old classmates, even my childhood playmates are checking on my safety constantly and inviting me back to China to enjoy food with me. I really miss them, however I cannot go back due to the pandemic.... Since they couldn’t invite me back( temporarily), they sent me hundreds of masks and PPE gears to make sure I have enough supplies to keep me safe and virus free, just like the beginning of pandemic when China was under lockdown, I purchased masks from US and expressed them to China to protect people I care. 

疫情期间，（7月18日，370万病例）我的亲人、朋友、老同学、甚至我的童年的玩伴都在不断地关心我的安危，邀请我返回中国和他们一起享受美食。我真的很想念他们，然而，我现在却不能回去（疫情影响）……由于他们现在无法邀请我返回中国，他们就给我邮了很多的口罩以及医用手套，确保我能够在疫情期间有相对自由的生活条件，就像在中国的疫情刚刚开始的时候我给他们邮寄防疫用品一样。

I also invite the people in here, regardless your political stands, please visit China, of course highly recommend my hometown Chengdu! To see the different world out there, enjoy the view, embrace the culture, taste the food( hotpot and try the real Kungpao Chicken) , watch or even play with panda, etc. I guarantee you will experience China totally different from what the media told you!

Most foreigners, in particular Westerners won''t enjoy authentic Chinese food. That''s why there are few authentic Chinese food restaurants and why they will go to Chengdu and they may taste things, try bites of things but they will go to the KFC for their daily meal and to really eat eat.
