What should European leaders teach their people now given this shortage outcome? Should European leaders teach them, "You will reap what you sow". Stealing is wrong. or teach them , "if you need something important, go out to steal it. If not enough, steal some more in a big way.". Regret and repent or double down on your wrongful actions. Wingtech owns IP. They can quickly move all designing and manufacturing into China, so European subsidiaries will die out without a market, will bankrupt and fade away.

Germany's auto industry is shaking in its knees. The Chinese will eat up their international market share in chunks. Germany can only close their own market to China. Then again, if they do that, they will not be able to buy cheap parts from China and their own citizens will be very unhappy as they have to pay more. How the Dutch came to this conclusion of seizing the Chinese company baffles me.

The European leaders lack the ability to think about the issue as a 3 year kid. When you steal a candy from another kid friend while still want to play his toy together, the mom would just tell him to apologize first and give back the candy at least, perhaps giving him one of your candies. Otherwise why would the other kid wants to play with you again?

This is the Meng Wanzhou of Huawei thing all over again. And it is going to get resolved the same say. China is a big country and it can and will take care of it. Its sad that Canada and now the Dutch are pull this type of stunt. China is the victim here! Just because China can retaliate that don't make them China a lessor victim.

China didn't cause any trouble. I thought it's a good thing they did by buying a company that wasn't progressing. Then, invested in and created many jobs.

I don't know what's in the minds of those who take such decisions to confiscated at company just because Chinese own. Well, if I am the Chinese , I am just done with these people. I don't know if the Chinese would want to invest in Europe anymore.

They believe in robbing, looting, stealing, invading and colonizing. A tiny Dutch colonized a much bigger country like Indonesia. In the end the Dutch pirate still got kick out. It is better for the rest of the world to stay away from this pirate. You can never know what this pirate can do to you.

The Dutch are real GENIUSES. Lets get our courts to seize Nexperia NV from it's wholly owned chinese shareholder so we can control the business globally, and that will mean even the factory in China will be ours, No?

Because Dutch courts don't have jurisdiction in China, or anywhere else like Singapore or HK. The Chinese law must protect it's citizens or company's who have been swindled, even overseas.

Now that Netherlands cannot be trusted, only way forward is to restructure by cutting-off the companies (within the group) in unfriendly locations and demand compensation from the government of Netherlands. Huge blow for the Dutch. Who would invest there again?

The dutch knows exactly what to do. Reverse all the stupid dicisions that started this in the first place. You have to choose: eat your humble pie or go down as a country single handedly destroy EU economy.

It wasn't the Dutch who did the bad things. Instead, those Dutch politicians wanted to make a profit before stepping down. They didn't care about the lives of the Dutch people at all.

Volkswagen and Bosch were already facing operational difficulties and were unable to cope with the competition in the era of electrification. They merely used this opportunity to lay off employees and close factories.

China merely has one more unlucky entrepreneur. Dutch politicians will get a large villa in Florida. European car manufacturers will be relieved of the burden of heavy assets. HOWEVER, Europeans will lose their jobs and pay more for cars.

the excuse of stealing vital tech...um it was sold to Wintech Technology in 2020, any of the tech would have been transfer and collected in the 5 years...plus, if it was so vital, why didn't any Dutch government officials brought it up to try to blockade the purchase. Seizing a company 5 years later is illegal.

ONLY talking with the Chinese government will NOT resolve the problem created by the Dutch government. The Dutch government needs to RETURN BACK Nexperia to the Chinese, APOLOGISE & then talk with the Chinese government. However due to the EGO of the Dutch government, I doubt they will do that.
