We will not run out of sand, the only difference is that the "cheap" stuff will be depleted and the price will go up. Same thing with the Oil Sands in Canada. Plenty of oil but much more expensive to make oil from that compared to pumping it up from the current oil in the ground, like in Iraq etc.
