Linux是完全可以做实时操作系统的！学术界及工业界在RTLinux这上面已经做了很多年。有许多公司的产品可以用于实时Linux上，比如说Xilinx的FPGA芯片。还有无数公司提供自己的开原或不开原的RTLinux，比如说Endea, MontaVista, Wind River, QNX, National Instruments等等等等。包括实时(RT——Real-time)的Linux内核有四种模式可以设置：No Forced Preemption (Server), Voluntary Kernel Preemption (Desktop), Preemptible Kernel (Low-Latency Desktop), Complete Preemption (Real-Time)。选择Complete Preemption模式设置内核就是实时Linux。
