WADA和USADA在推特上吵起来了……

这事情说实话真有点让人大跌眼镜。

当地时间8月8日早上3点，WADA（全名World Anti-Doping Agency，世界反兴奋剂机构，以下简称WADA）在X上发布一篇声明，主要讲的是有关美国违反相关规定，多年来允许兴奋剂检测为阳性的运动员参赛一事。

​该声明指责美国反兴奋剂机构（以下简称USADA）多年来纵容一些服用违禁药品的运动员继续参赛，有些时候甚至还会选择瞒报，或是要求WADA不要公开部分运动员的检测报告。

在WADA发现的相关案例中，有一起案例是一位参加了美国奥运会预选赛的运动员承认自己服用了违禁药品，但仍被允许一直参赛直到退役。因为当时USADA对WADA宣称一旦将该运动员的检测结果公布，该运动员的生命安全将遭到威胁。

在和美国的情报部门核实了这个安全威胁的真实性后，WADA最终选择不公布该运动员的兴奋剂检测报告。

In one case, an elite level athlete, who competed at Olympic qualifier and international events in the United States, admitted to taking steroids and EPO yet was permitted to continue competing all the way up to retirement. 

Their case was never published, results never disqualified, prize money never returned, and no suspension ever served. The athlete was allowed to line up against their unknowing competitors as if they had never cheated. In that case, when USADA eventually admitted to WADA what had been going on, it advised that any publication of consequences or disqualification of results would put the athlete’s security at risk and asked WADA to agree to non-publication. 

Being put in this impossible position, WADA had no choice but to agree (after verifying with its Intelligence and Investigations Department that the security threat was credible). The athlete’s doping was therefore never made public.

针对WADA的这篇声明，USADA于当地时间8月8日上午5点的时候也发布了一篇声明，开头就指责WADA隐瞒了总计25起有关中国运动员的兴奋剂检测为阳性的报告。（原文说是23例TMZ检测呈阳性以及2例甲二烯酮检测呈阳性），并恬不知耻声称，既然WADA对USADA做了如此广泛的调查，那也应该对中国的兴奋剂检测机构做同样的事情，来保护所谓的“清白的体育”。

“It is sad to see WADA leaders’ desperate and dangerous attempts to smear others, including informants, instead of answering basic questions about why they allowed China to cover-up 23 positive tests for TMZ and two positive tests for metandienone. Now, as athletes from around the world are speaking out about these failures that impacted the Paris Olympic swimming event, WADA responds by lashing out against others. 

Clean athletes deserve answers, and they deserve better from WADA. For the Olympic values to have meaning, it is time to get WADA right.Ironically, the expansive investigations done by USADA and the involved IF, referenced in WADA’s statement today, demonstrates exactly what WADA should have done with the Chinese swimmers’ positives: develop the evidence to identify the truth and uphold the rules to protect clean sport.

为了让奥林匹克价值观有意义，是时候让世界反兴奋剂机构正确行事了。

具有讽刺意味的是，世界反兴奋剂机构今天的声明中提到的美国反兴奋剂机构和相关国际单项体育联合会所做的广泛调查恰恰表明了世界反兴奋剂机构应该对中国游泳运动员的阳性结果做些什么：提供证据来查明真相，并坚持规则来保护清白的体育。

事实上，此次2024年巴黎奥运会上，美国女子花样游泳队中一位名叫Calista Liu的选手，就在今年5月13日的时候接受了兴奋剂检测，当时就被检测出阳性。

但在今年7月份的时候，一名独立仲裁员对该案件进行了裁决，判定这名运动员无过错违规，不会面临一段时间的禁赛。

而之所以做出如此判决，是因为这位运动员辩解称，她的兴奋剂检测结果之所以呈阳性，是因为她不小心误食了自己父亲滴在床上的眼药水……

这过于离谱的原因让许多网友直呼这真的是大开眼界。
